Chinese New Year

Friday 24/01/2020

The first day of the lunar new year, or Chinese New Year, is observed on Saturday 25 January, when we farewell the Year of the Pig and welcome in the Year of the Rat. According to custom, the twelve animals of the Chinese zodiac bring unique qualities. Pigs are famed for kind-heartedness and positivity and the rat is known for its industrious nature and quick-wittedness.

The traditional new year greeting wishes good fortune; “Gong xi fa cai” in Mandarin and “Gong hei fat choy” in Cantonese.
May the Year of the Rat bring you health and happiness!
