Puamiria Maaka Te Waipuna Puawai Mercy Oasis

Te Waipuna Puawai Mercy Oasis is part of the community development ministry that the Sisters of Mercy started in New Zealand many years ago. The foundress of the Sisters of Mercy, Catherine McAuley made a commitment to care and be concerned for the poor and vulnerable. Puamiria Maaka is the manager of Te Waipuna Puawai Mercy Oasis and gives examples of the work and the challenges the organisation is facing today.

Women's Voices

This half hour series features interviews and discussions on matters of interest to women in general and migrant women in particular.  Women working in the community talk to women with shared experiences, to people who can help, to female achievers. Heartfelt and empowering discussions about crucial topics in women's lives networking women’s issues, women’s arts and talents.
