Gabrielle Huria is Te Kaihau Mission Leader of the Sisters of Mercy in Aotearoa New Zealand. The National Mission Team provides training and resources for all Mercy Institutions to ensure that the charism of mercy is maintained. Gabrielle gives examples of how she is pulling together all Mercy Institutions in New Zealand as one global family, reminding them of the history of the Mercy Sisters in New Zealand and of the courageous women who started their work here.
Pass The Mic spotlights the stories and experiences of New Zealanders from migrant and former refugee backgrounds. The first series from 2022 is a community-led collaboration in partnership with Belong Aotearoa, Sport Waitākere and Storyo, hosted by Elina Ashimbayeva. The second series from 2025 focuses on the employment experience of lived experts and was made with funding from the J R McKenzie Trust.
In this one-off special, Planet FM presents a snapshot of Te Matatini 2023, with vox-pops and interviews undertaken in the marketplace at Ana Wai / Eden Park where the festival took place. A celebration of the best of Kapa Haka across Aotearoa New Zealand, this year's Te Matatini festival was hosted by Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei.
