Focusing on local Sinhalese, Gamini mixes Sri Lankan and global current affairs with interviews of senior Sri Lankan citizens. Mix in some radio drama, old and modern songs and a sample of music from talented locals and you have an entertaining hour that doesn't forget youth and Dhamma talk.
Gamini worked in banking in Sri Lanka, and in NZ as a sales and service co-ordinator. Since arriving here he has been involved in community radio programmes and Sri Lankan organisations in a number of Executive roles. Gamini is a talented entertainer and public speaker. He enjoys nature and countryside driving. His hobbies are singing and watching sport.
Kanthi studied at Yasodara Balika Vidyalaya Colombo, and is a member of the I.A.B (London). She has worked as book-keeper and a chief finance executive. Previously a volunteer member of St Johns Ambulance Service and the All Ceylon Buddhist Association, Kanthi enjoys swimming, reading, walking, cooking, sewing, music & photography.
With a Bachelor of Science degree from Sri Lanka Maheshika moved to NZ where she added a graduate diploma in IT. She now works for a software engibneering firm. Maheshika volunteers with the Sri Lankan community organising events and is able to call on her fondness for singing both traditional and pop songs. She’s also a keen fan of sci-fi and horror movies, plays table tennis and badminton.
