Dalmatian Radio

The Dalmatian Cultural Society has been on air since 1994 with a radio outreach to the old and new Dalmatian community in NZ. We present Society news and explore the achievements of Kiwis of Dalmatian descent. The music selected from around the former Yugoslavia is both nostalgic and modern.

Halo Tu Polska

Here is a one-stop shop for Polish Kiwis wanting to connect with the language and culture of Poland in Auckland. With hosts from a range of professional backgrounds including psychiatry, linguistics, TV presenting, design and film, the Halo Tu Polska team is a dedicated group bringing passion, expertise and a focus on celebrating and preserving Polishness!

Hamro Chautari

Each week Haamro Chautari offers the chance for the Nepalese community to gather round and share their culture, news of the local community as well as the latest from Nepal. The hosts also present a selection of new music and golden hits. Interviews and updates on community events in Auckland keep the connection with the Nepalese way of life.

Iranz Ava

With contributors across Aotearoa, Iranz Ava is by and for the Iranian community. The show features discussion on current events and celebrates Iranian culture in New Zealand, through Persian poetry, interviews and music. Sponsored by Alpha 1 Insurance.

Ireland Calling

Ireland seems closer every week with Oliver Lee presenting current events and sports news. Featuring a wide range of Irish music and the occasional guest, including visiting Irish performers, politicians, sports and business people. A weekly Irish hour since 1990.

Janma Bhoomi

For 65 minutes weekly Janma Bhoomi aims to keep Singhalese in touch with their motherland and educate the younger generation born here about the history and nature of Sri Lanka. There are historical stories and events, news and current affairs, poetry, prose and drama, festival celebrations, all wrapped around with both old and modern music.

Korean Catholic Radio

Each weekday KCR has regular features: Catholic teaching from the Peace Broadcasting Centre (PBC) Korea, a daily music special, a daily Korean storybook, two comprehensive news bulletins and a community noticeboard, as well as guests from across the community. See the daily players for details.

Latin Kiwi

Bienvenidos a todos! Welcome to a show that brings together the best of Latin American and Kiwi culture. Cecilia covers it all, with hot tips, guest interviews with Latin Kiwis here and abroad, and advice to help you live your best life in Aotearoa New Zealand.

Leo 'o Felenite

Produced by the Tongan Women's Association this show began in 1987 with the focus on Early Childhood Education. It has grown to include many Tongan community interests. The old and new mix of Tongan music is popular as are the education updates, health information, positive parenting segments, local and Canberra news bulletins. A short devotion opens each 2 hour programme.

Leo He Fakaalofa Noa Niue

Tina and the team catch you up on church news, community activities, and discuss life, legal systems and social services in Aotearoa. Tune in for singing, devotions and great music.

Malayalam FM

A celebration of Malayalam language, literature, music and culture; Malayalam FM presents two weekly programmes. Hear dramas and stories based on Malayalam songs on Fridays, and enjoy a talk-based show featuring discussions and interviews on the Sunday edition.

Melisai

Tamil literature, poems, news and interviews - Melisai brings you current affairs, local and international events relevant to Tamils, with wit and humour. Each Sunday morning there’s the chance to hear local Tamil perspectives presented by Tamil speakers with a passion for the language and culture.  The music is varied, the topics entertaining.

Muthtamil Sangam

A broad spectrum show, Muthtamil Sangam addresses all ages from kids to elders and brings listeners everything from politics to entertainment. Along with community bulletins, Mani co-ordinates with various Tamil people to make this programme a lively one.

Nachda Punjab

The Bhangra beats set the pace for a lively show that includes live reports by Pali Raipuria from Punjab. There's a weekly topic for the older population with little English, and we cover current events, community news, government policies all spiced with requests and dedications, plus recent albums of folk singers. Ondazzurra

Ondazzurra is a project initiated and funded by COMITES, Comitato degli Italiani all’Estero, and is the only radio programme produced in New Zealand completely in the Italian language.  Ondazurra is a show made for Italians and lovers of Italy; an assemblage of culture, interviews, music and news of things Italian happening here. Your hosts are lovers of the arts and language with a deep interest in bi-culturalism and the lives of those creating a home away from their original home. Pilipinas Mabuhay

Radio Akwaaba is a programme targeted to the Ghanaian Community and all those who are interested in Ghana or African culture. Samleng Khmer

An independent radio show that has been in production since 1997, Khmer Voice today provides a home for the Cambodian Community in NZ. It is both a reflection of the Khmer community in Auckland and an avenue for new Cambodian migrants. Samut Sari

Susegad Danpaar
