A great show for older Tongans - news, talkback, sports updates and a mighty countdown of musical favourites!
A lifetime of community work has shown Tevita Finau that the quality of relationships is crucial to well-being. In this show he explores family, relationships and the difficulties faced by youth. He explores the topics with specialist speakers, with social educators, with young people and enriches the show with cultural and health content, music, news and talkback.
Loto Ofa Whatu Manawa Educational Services aim to raise the achievements of Pasifika students through their heritage languages. Incorporating the values of discussion and long conversation with loving concern and connection, the programme covers current educational topics focusing on early childhood education. The show is not limited to entry level education and encourages community participation in teaching our kids.
Produced by the Tongan Women's Association this show began in 1987 with the focus on Early Childhood Education. It has grown to include many Tongan community interests. The old and new mix of Tongan music is popular as are the education updates, health information, positive parenting segments, local and Canberra news bulletins. A short devotion opens each 2 hour programme.
