Every week by satellite from Khmer Post Radio, Meach Sovannara explores the current topics of Cambodian politics and the future of democracy in Cambodia. Interviews with democracy leaders from the local and global Khmer community are accompanied by a current and informative selection of Cambodian news, local health topics and Buddhism.
PRODUCER / PRESENTER: Norina Kuy
A producer of Khmer community radio since 1999, Norina is a soccer player with goals. They include keeping Kiwi Khmer in touch with their culture through links to Cambodia and through his promotion of a local Khmer band. Norina works as a home-care health worker and enjoys the community connection he makes through radio.
PRESENTER: Socheat Heng
Socheat has been in NZ for four years, has completed her diploma in Level One English at Unitec, now speaking Khmer, Chinese and English. She likes to listen to the news, watch movies and hang out with friends. Her voluntary time working in a travel agency in Cambodia has seeded the dream to own her own travel agency.
