Positive Action

Saturday 23/03/2019

After the horror of March 15th there has been an unprecedented response of national grief and compassion toward our Muslim communities. Aotearoa has set itself as a world leader in showing love, kindness and empathy as a powerful response to hate. We have a lot to be proud of.

We also have a lot to acknowledge. The suggestion that these recent events have resulted in some sort of loss of innocence is to disregard the experiences of so many people in this country. Listen to people whose experiences are unlike yours.

Confront your own pre-conceptions.

Be open.

And disagree? That’s OK too. But please, let’s talk.
